The Silver Buck trail is accessible via the G-Spot singletrack up the northwest flank of the Wiltse Highlands, just east of the city of Penticton.
Silver Buck is a mixed bag as far as rating it, I'd suggest that you ignore all signage enroute which indicates 'Green' / 'Easy' difficulty ratings, as there are simply no 'easy' routes along the length of this trail.
Access the bottom trailhead of G-Spot, as described in the G-Spot chapter of this website, the App' and print publication. Follow it to the summit, then after enjoying the amazing vistas, head back down the same trail. On your right, approximately 100 meters along, you'll notice rough signage indicating the Silver Buck route.
If you don't have armour; don't follow along any further. The green sections are an illusion. The blue markers truly indicate a black-diamond level difficulty, and the double-black diamond indicates that or perhaps a step above...
You've been warned.
This is an advanced mountain bike trail. A decent hike for the fit and one which is not advised for horseback, due to the volume of sharp rock everywhere.
Upon completing the route in a counter-clockwise direction, you will interface with the G-Spot trail again, as well as an intersection with a trail known as "6-Stitches".
I advise that you head down G-Spot, as 6-Stitches is truly for very advanced riders only. call it a double-black diamond, call it crazy - this route is "right off the handle" as far as difficulty and potential to maim oneself. The title was branded by it's builder - who did indeed require 6 stitches while riding it...
You've been warned... again...
